I had just about reached a normal state of calmness because they didn't instruct us on the "kiss your ass goodbye" and bracing position. As we got to the end of the runway, there were no other planes around, and all the fire trucks waiting on the taxiway to chase us down the runway.The landing was uneventful. Pull up to the gate and disembark, maintenance guy pops open the cowling on the engine, takes a quick look, and waves off his buddies.
