That's what drives me crazy about the "left lane is for passing only!!!!" posts that simultaneously shit all over anyone that says we should also follow the speed limit and only pass someone doing under the limit. If everyone gets to drive their speed of choice and there's a wide open passing lane then we'll just have constant passing, creating needless collision risks and creating horrible traffic when roads aren't fairly open. Oh look, both suppositions in that sentence are already true...could that mean "left lane is for passing only!!!!!" is an incomplete gospel that doesn't change much or could even make existing problems worse? Nah! Let's just bitch about slow left lane drivers some more. They're the real problem.
