I preferred TNG to DS9, but they are both good. I would recommend that you stick with TNG until at least season two though, it gets much better. And I think (?) mini skirt usage also disappears. The women are definitely wearing pants in later seasons.DS9 is the best Trek, I’m jealous you get to watch it for the first time. As has been said there are some rough episodes especially in the beginning of the series (like most treks) but it’s an awesome watch.
