I know some of my active duty friends hate hearing the typical, "thank you for your service" thing. Really though, you guys in Vietnam got the short end of the stick. I feel like a lot of the focus today on the military is some sort of late make up for that - if that makes sense.Edit: I'll use my comment to possibly highlight some better responses versus just saying, "Thank you for your service." Particularly if someone has actually served. I'm not the one to answer this question. If I see a good answer, I'll link to it. Also, I fixed some typos in the above comment.
